White Rabbit Gallery

Attraction Details

The White Rabbit Gallery, established in 2009, proudly displays one of the world’s foremost collections of Chinese contemporary art. Founded by Judith Neilson, inspired by her visits to Beijing in the late 1990s, the gallery houses nearly 3000 works from nearly 750 artists, constantly expanding through regular acquisitions in China and Taiwan.

Originally a Rolls-Royce service depot from the 1940s, the gallery underwent a complete transformation by architect William Smart. Due to space constraints, the gallery features two new exhibitions annually, necessitating a full rehang each time. The gallery is a registered charitable institution solely funded by Judith Neilson, offering free admission to all visitors.
